Khatib and Alami (K&A) have realized the importance of transportation engineering and developed its resources steadily to offer a wide range of services related to this discipline. The Transportation Engineering Discipline started in the mid 1960s with a few engineers based in Beirut, and now it has expanded to incorporate a large number of engineers and technicians in twenty-six branches encompassing more than 30 years of experience in eighteen countries.

The Transportation Engineering Division is committed to providing innovative and economical solutions for safer infrastructure works that meet clients’ needs. The teams set up include professional transportation engineers whose long experience in infrastructure, management and follow-up of the construction works enable them to offer coherent projects that fit the client’s requirements.

Khatib & Alami has been designing and managing projects that range from rehabilitation and maintenance of roadways to the complete design of airfield systems. The range of transportation projects’ sizes vary from US$ one million to several billions. The experience that has been gained and integrated into the design capabilities include: transport planning, traffic engineering, highway engineering, railway engineering, airport engineering and harbor engineering.
