Quality Management & Project Control


Khatib & Alami's top management has always considered customer satisfaction to be an integral part of its continuing success. Consequently, it has set major objectives aimed at achieving high-quality outcome of all services offered by the company. To meet these objectives, top management and senior staff members continuously identify the latest and up-to-date developments in both management and technical areas related to the company fields of activities. Based on this identification, human and infrastructure resources are provided and integrated into the company in order to make modern practices part of daily activities.

The quality of offered services is based on a Quality Management System (QMS), which is fully developed in conformity to the most widely recognized international standards, ISO 9001. K&A has prepared and implemented in its various offices a fully documented QMS that covers all its services including Engineering Design, Construction Supervision, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Information Technology (IT).

Company certification to the ISO 9001 standard dates back to 1996, where it was first implemented in the office in Saudi Arabia. Certification was then extended to cover design offices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon.

Project management is considered to be a major element in the success of any project undertaken by K&A. Top management ensures that individuals appointed as project managers have extensive experience and sufficient practice in their respective technical field. In addition, project managers must have previously undertaken adequate training and participated in all aspects of formal project management. This includes planning, scheduling, resource management, conducting meetings, communication and other skills necessary for effective project management.

In addition to the support from engineering design and technical departments, project managers are offered all necessary support services from the contracts, accounting, human resources, quality management, document control, information technology and business performance/development departments.

ISO 9001 Certification

Quality management through continuous process improvement is a core value system at K&A. Achieving the best standards must be measured continuously, and thus, the company has diligently worked to achieve ISO 9001 certification for its operations.

K&A has obtained the ISO 9001 certifications for its quality management system in its main branches in Lebanon, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
