Khatib & Alami has realized early on the need for establishing a dedicated department focusing on the development of engineering knowledge that deals with the constantly evolving environmental issues. This took place in the early-seventies, when the environmental engineering discipline was started to serve clients effectively with all available resources.

K&A Environmental Engineering Services include:

• Dams, water supply, treatment and distribution.

• Water leakage reduction services.

• Wastewater collection and conveyance.

• Wastewater treatment and reuse.

• Sludge stabilization and/or disposal.

• Stormwater drainage and flood mitigation systems.

• Solid waste management studies and disposal, environmental impact assessment studies, air pollution studies, and irrigation systems.

In addition, the Environmental Division is actively involved in software solution development in collaboration with MWH Soft in conceiving cutting-edge technology in water and sewage network modeling and design.
