Erbil International Fair September 2006

In September 2006, and for the second consecutive year, the international trade fair and conference was held in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region in Iraq. This event aims for attracting foreign companies to support the reconstruction of the area, where each company had the chance to expose its services and suggestions.

 

This time more than 800 companies from 27 countries exhibited in the makeshift convention center. Khatib & Alami – KA, represented by Mr. Garo Bakalian, Ms Hassana Wazzi and Mr. Fadi Daher, participated and seized the opportunity to present the company’s capabilities that reflecting its different grounds of expertise.

 

The exhibition covered construction, contracting and materials from oil and gas services, to security, feed, telecommunications, consumer goods, banking and business services, with a notable strength in the building-related trades.

 

The event also highlighted the Kurdistan region as being a platform for integration and nationwide economic growth through emphasizing on major projects being implemented in the Kurdish area. Of these projects: an international airport, hotels, conference centers, power stations, hospitals, and hundreds of new housing units.
