Role Name / Designation: Senior FTTX Design Engineer

Duty Station: Beirut - Lebanon

Job Summary:

The Senior FTTX Design Engineer will work directly with the Design Engineering team to support the customer with the design review validation and approvals of passive optical networks and the generation of associated bills of material (BOMs) for FTTC, FTTH, and FTTO networks.

Key Responsibilities Areas and Activities Of the Role:

• FTTX/ODN network planning and high /low level design, preparation of design pack documents

• Monitor, record and report against design delivery to meet agreed plan and customer design standards and guidelines

• OSP Civil / fiber drawings (design) using Automated design Tool.

• Review and validate the produced detailed BOM/BOQ

• Coordination with customer for design approval

• Helping & guiding permits team with design drawings

• Helping FTTx implementation teams related to preparing As-built package for handover

• Report on all Infrastructures related issues and site survey output validation.

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies required to Execute this Role:

• Lead, manage and conduct customer requirements.

• Interact internally with other departments/engineers and contractors to ensure proper implementation of project is maintained.
  

Experience Required to execute this Role:

• Minimum of 10 years of general FTTX, ODN experience and leadership.

• Minimum of 5 years working experience of designing FTTX networks using GIS based tools

• Outside Plant (OSP) Telecoms, Civil & Cable work experience.

• FTTH/ODN planning and design (high & low level designs).

• Familiar with GIS Software and AutoCAD.

• Bachelor degree or above related to Telecommunication Technology, Computer Science & Technology, Information Technology
