Job Summary:

Specialist is responsible for contributing to requirements analysis, various development plans and design, procedures and standards, solution monitoring and customization. S/He is responsible to implement the Department’s business plan, promote the business, oversee delivery, enforce policies and procedures, ensure quality, and manage cost. S/He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the GIS space related to Energy & Utilities and represent the firm in the professional GIS community and international forums

Key Responsibilities Areas and Activities Of the Role:

Costumer Focus

• Represent the organization on Geospatial Systems Integration (GSI) Energy & Utilities topics and contribute to enhancing the brand name and reach of the firm

• Meet with the customer and understand the business and related processes

• Provide support as needed to Senior Manager / Manager – {Energy | Electricity | Water | Renewable} Segment where client negotiations are required

• Follow up on deliverables acceptance and communicate comments efficiently

• Ensure client satisfaction with Energy & Utility project deliverables

• Perform analysis on client’s business processes; prepare working documentation plans and designs to support solutions implementation as needed

• Contribute to the development of Database, Application Design and installation documents as needed

• Configure, customize implement solutions / products as needed

• Contribute to implementation plan

• Prepare inputs to proposals, as needed

• Ensure compliance of corporate policies and procedures

Learning & Growth

• Participate in relevant training and knowledge transfer to enhance skill set and keep abreast of domain advances

• Enforce a knowledge management culture to capture and share client interactions within a knowledge repository in accordance with K&A’s knowledge management policies and procedures

• Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments and products in the GIS space related to Energy & Utilities

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies required to Execute this Role:

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Esri Technical Certification

• ArcFM Technical Certification is nice to have

Skills

• Very good knowledge of the application of geospatial technologies to the Energy & Utilities industries

• Very good knowledge of the Geospatial and Energy & Utilities industry trends and competitive landscape in the countries of operation

• Understanding of international geospatial / engineering standards and codes as applicable

• Good business development skills

• Very good analytical and technical vision skills

• Very good knowledge of business re-engineering Principals and processes

• Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and business value-add proposition

• Very good presentation skills

• Good planning and organizing skills

• Very good communication skills

• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Experience Required to execute this Role:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Geospatial, Energy & Utilities industries with a demonstrated deep knowledge and expertise in geospatial technologies and its application to Energy & Utilities businesses

• Good experience analyzing business requirements and developing case models

• Good experience in delivering products, solutions, and services under projects

• Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners

• Excellent relevant industry experience within the Middle East and other countries of operation
