ICT Digital Innovation supports KAFD in Guinness World Record for Longest Continuous Pedestrian Skyway Award
RIYADH, July 2025 — ICT Digital Innovation (ICTDI), an affiliate of Khatib & Alami, celebrates its pivotal role in helping King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) achieve a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest continuous pedestrian skyway network, officially measured at 15.46 kilometres, a milestone made possible through ICTDI’s cutting-edge GIS and digital twin technologies.
Located in the heart of one of Riyadh’s most iconic developments, KAFD represents a visionary model of urban transformation where business, lifestyle, and technology converge within a digitally integrated and sustainable ecosystem. Spanning 1.6 million square meters and 95 buildings, KAFD features an award-winning skyway system that interconnects its areas, promoting walkability, smart mobility, and sustainable urban living.
As the assigned third-party consultant, ICTDI led the measurement verification process for the overall record and the longest pathway, which was critical to the Guinness World Records submission. Using an advanced suite of technologies, including field data collection, spatial analysis, and 3D modelling, ICTDI produced a verification report with outstanding accuracy.
