IMC Medical College Jeddah: Future-Ready Medical Education Campus
The IMC Medical College Jeddah is designed as a next-generation academic environment that connects education, clinical practice, and community health. The new campus will equip future physicians, nurses, and health professionals with the skills, empathy, and technological fluency required for modern healthcare.
K&A serves as the main consultant for the full design, shaping a campus where classrooms, laboratories, simulation centers, and wellness spaces work together to support lifelong learning and human-centered medical practice.
A New Academic Gateway for Health Sciences in Jeddah
The International Medical Center (IMC) aims to establish a premier School of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health that effectively combines scientific rigor with holistic education. To support this mission, the new medical college is designed with flexible spaces, advanced clinical training environments, and strong connections to IMC Hospital.
IMC Medical College Jeddah aims to train future leaders and community-focused practitioners in medicine. K&A will design the campus, integrating educational spaces, research areas, and outdoor environments into a cohesive setting.
Key Academic and Architectural Requirements
Designing Within a Dense Urban Context
The college needed to fit within Jeddah’s compact urban fabric while maintaining a direct physical link to IMC Hospital through a dedicated bridge and coordinated functional planning.
Accommodating Diverse Teaching and Research Needs
The program includes 13 academic and support categories, each requiring specific spatial, technological, and operational considerations—from simulation zones and anatomy labs to wellness and community engagement spaces.
Supporting Modern, Flexible Learning
Classrooms, laboratories, and collaborative spaces must adapt to evolving teaching models, including hybrid learning, simulation-based education, and interdisciplinary training.
Creating a Meaningful Campus Identity
The architectural expression needed to balance aesthetics, durability, accessibility, and symbolic meaning, reflecting IMC’s commitment to holistic healing and ethical medical practice.
Integrated Design Solutions for IMC Medical College Jeddah
