MEA Facilities Green Building
The MEA Facilities Green Building is a modern, sustainable office development designed to support Middle East Airlines’ administrative, technical, and residential functions. Located near the MEA Training Center, the building reflects the airline’s commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term operational efficiency.
K&A delivered Design, Contract Documents, Construction Supervision, and occupancy permit support to ensure the project’s architectural, engineering, and sustainability objectives were seamlessly achieved.
Sustainable Vision for the MEA Facilities Green Building
The MEA Facilities Green Building is MEA’s first Green Building, aligned with the airline’s corporate sustainability goals. The development integrates administrative offices, data and information centers, dormitories, retail components, and outdoor spaces into a single, coordinated structure.
Its environmentally conscious architecture supports energy conservation, water efficiency, and improved indoor air quality while maintaining functional flow and user privacy.
Designing a Multi-Function, Technology-Driven Green Building
The project required integrating offices, residential units, data center infrastructure, and commercial spaces within one building. Dedicated circulation routes and privacy-focused layouts were essential to maintain smooth movement and user comfort.
Embedding Advanced Systems and Sustainable Features
The building incorporates centralized security, integrated data center monitoring, HVAC systems, fire protection, UPS units, irrigation systems, and standby power solutions. Sustainable design principles guided the façade features, landscaping, and building services.
Integrated Delivery for the MEA Facilities Green Building
K&A prepared the concept design, developed all architectural and engineering studies, and supervised construction throughout the project. Each phase aligned with renewable development standards and supported efficient building performance.
Designing for Functionality, Privacy, and Environmental Quality
The facility features structured circulation, defined privacy zones, and sustainable façade elements, such as vertical louvers and organizing walls. These elements reinforce the project’s environmental identity and support operational requirements.
A Modern, Sustainable Facility Supporting MEA’s Vision
The completed development provides a well-organized, sustainable environment for MEA’s administrative, residential, training, and commercial functions. Advanced systems improve safety, performance, and resilience, while thoughtful design enhances comfort and usability.
The building stands as a modern architectural representation of MEA’s commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.
