K&A guided the project all while ensuring that each space supports diplomatic work, privacy requirements, and a clear architectural identity.
Creating a Unified Diplomatic and Residential Environment
The Oman Embassy Beirut Project integrates multiple functions across ten floors, including embassy offices, consular departments, the ambassador’s residence, and several residential apartments. Each function required tailored circulation, privacy, and access arrangements.
The design balances operational needs with cultural representation, ensuring the building reflects Omani identity while fitting the Beirut urban context.
Designing for Security and Cultural Expression
Organizing diplomatic, administrative, and residential functions in a single building required strict zoning. Also, dedicated entrances were essential to maintain privacy between embassy operations, consular activity, private residences, and the ambassador’s quarters.
