SEVEN Abha Entertainment Destination

Advisory Services | Abha, Saudi Arabia

SEVEN Abha brings family entertainment, dining and public spaces together in a destination inspired by Aseer’s landscape and cultural heritage. The development gives residents and visitors more opportunities to spend time together, while supporting the region’s growing tourism offer.

Khatib & Alami served as Project Management Consultant, guiding delivery from post-concept design through procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover. Opened in August 2026, Abha is the first completed destination in Saudi Entertainment Ventures’ nationwide program.

Bringing attractions and building systems together

Delivering Abha required close coordination between specialist rides, themed environments, fit-out and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Each attraction introduced technical requirements that had to work within the wider complex.

K&A managed these interfaces alongside design reviews, procurement and construction supervision. A dedicated attractions and theming team followed specialist packages through manufacturing, installation and testing, keeping their requirements aligned with the building works.

Using digital coordination to resolve site challenges

Building Information Modeling gave designers, contractors and specialists a shared basis for reviewing technical compatibility. Aconex and Autodesk Construction Cloud supported document control, approvals and collaboration.

The team also used 4D simulation to review construction sequences and logistics. Laser scanning captured installed conditions, while augmented reality helped verify how building services and themed elements came together on site. These tools made discrepancies easier to identify and supported more reliable information for handover.

Preparing the destination for operation

As construction neared completion, K&A coordinated integrated testing, commissioning, and closeout across the facilities and attractions. This included oversight of as-built records, operation and maintenance manuals, and training arrangements with relevant stakeholders.

The project achieved LEED Gold and recorded more than 15 million safe working hours. Its opening adds a new setting for recreation and social activity in Aseer, combining family attractions with retail, dining and public spaces rooted in the region’s identity.
