Maher Kahil, PhD

Dr. Maher Kahil serves as a Member of the Board at Khatib & Alami, Partner, and Vice President, leading the firm’s Regional Headquarters in Riyadh. With more than 27 years of experience, he has led water, environmental, and infrastructure projects and overseen regional operations and multidisciplinary teams across Saudi Arabia.

He has led the delivery of award-winning, large-scale projects across the Gulf and the wider MENA region, with a leadership approach grounded in strong governance, cohesive teams, and effective engagement with public- and private-sector clients. His work supports informed decision-making and reliable outcomes across complex programs.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Kahil led regional operations as Head of the Basra Office before assuming responsibility for the Riyadh office. In addition to his executive role, he remains active in academia and research, contributing to the water, wastewater, and sustainability disciplines.
