Riyadh Traffic Monitoring and Analysis Program
Measuring and assessing the increasing traffic growth and capacity
on all road categories within the city of Riyadh as well as determining
critical corridors that face capacity constraints are all important focus
points to ArRiyadh Development Authority (ADA). The main challenges
resulting from the growth of the city is to provide safe, sufficient,
adequate and sustainable means of transport to meet the current and
forecasted needs of the society. Additionally, until the introduction
of the Public Transport System in Riyadh city takes place and during
its implementation and construction, there’s a vital need for the city
to keep a continuously updated recording of the traffic movement
throughout its road network to ensure safe, smooth and feasible daily
trips for the road users.
